Hi there! I'm Yanlai Wu, a Ph.D. student in Human-computer interaction (HCI) at the University of Central Florida. I'm part of the privacy lab and advised by Dr. Yao Li. My research interest focuses on the intersection of privacy and HCI.
Specifically, my research aims to better understand users' privacy attitudes and behaviors when they interact with different technologies. I'm passionate about designing better privacy mechanisms to help users control and protect their online privacy. Currently, I'm exploring how users' privacy is challenged in the real-time information sharing setting, such as live streaming. I'm exploring how streamers, bystanders, and audience perceive privacy issues and how they cope with them in real-time information sharing. |
